Matisse 21 YO Blended Scotch Whisky	Rich, full, complex nose with tropical fruits like pineapple and guava linked with healthy dollop of malty notes and some barley sugar aromatics. Beautifully rounded mouth with light and elegant flow yet intense flavours. Malt, honey, spice and berry fruits all play a part with some fine oak rounding out the complexity. The Bailie Nicol Jarvie 8 YO	Beautifully fruited nose with honey, vanilla, spice and butterscotch. Very attractive sweet grain cereal notes with the impression of good maturity well exceeding the stated 8 years. John Dewar 18 Year Old Founders Reserve	Spectacular, fruit filled nose with banana, guava, lychee, melon and ginger. Hints of citrus and lemon meringue pie. William Lawson's Scottish Gold 12 YO	A great “come on” nose makes difficult to resist ! Packed with citrus, grape, sweet malt, honey and fine oak. Gorgeous, full, well rounded mouth has a stunning bourbon feel. Sweet cereal grain give wonderful, enhanced maturity. Sweet oak in fine support. Cocoa and sweet spice add to the complexity. Bowmore 12 YO Single Malt Scotch Whisky	Very attractive nose filled with gorse flowers, bananas, toffee, pears, apples with distinctive smoke all the way through. The whole lot repeats in the deep mouth with addition of exotic fruits, hints of seaweed, rich spice and a salty tang. Hints of lemon and honey. Beautifully balanced and fine texture. Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 YO	Super complex nose with delightful peaty notes and lots of spice, honey and malt. All backed by fresh floral notes and fine oak. The Famous Grouse 30 Year Old	Very attractive, complex nose packed with bananas, figs, orange, grape and slight hint of peat. Loads of rich malt. The Dalmore 50 YO Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky	Complex nose filled with roasted nuts, marmalade, citrus and rich fruit cake. Lots of oak followed by firm malty notes. Bruichladich 18 YO Single Malt Islay Whisky	Nose opens with the distinctive wet sea sand character associated with the distillery. Then follows citrus where creamy lemon curd features strongly. Aberlour 18 Year Old	Very attractive nose with lots of mature notes with rich apricot and peach and hint of chocolate. Light and creamy in the mouth yet a good richness of fruit flavours with an orange zesty crispness which gives all the mature characters a energising lift. Strathisla 12 Year Old	Opens with massive floral fragrance on the nose followed by sultanas, rich malt and a touch of peat way in the background. Rich, creamy, complex mouth where the malt is the main player with vanilla, mint and liquorice dancing all around. Some lightly peated barley fills the background all the time while a smoky twist threads it’s way all through. Well weighted and beautifully balanced. Long, satisfying finish. The Glenlivet 21 Year Old	Very attractive nose packed with orange, chocolate, sherry and a wisp of smoke. Good floral backing. Big, soft, full, mellow mouth with deep, mature flavours of old honey, ripe fruit and sweet malt. Smooth as can be across the palate. Wonderful oak support. Almost perfect balance. The Glenlivet 25 Year Old	Nose opens with a wonderful sweep of fruit and floral notes followed by rich malt and chocolate. Vanilla makes a showing with clean purity . Big and full in the mouth with flavours developing all the time while the whisky make slow, smooth move across the palate where Sherry makes a real statement. Lagavulin Distillers Edition 1991	Wow ! Phenomenal nose with deep richness with smoke from burning heather yet still space for some strong floral notes. Equally full in the mouth with all the nose had plus raisins, dried apricot and rich, spicy oak. Very energetic for it’s age yet still beautifully balanced. Warming. Mellow and satisfying. Caol Ila Distillers Edition 1996	Intriguing nose with exotic fruit, some grassy freshness and dark sugar with smoky thread linking it all. Rich and full in the mouth with dried apricot added to what the nose primed you for and some delicate Muscat characters. Just a hint of peat in the background. Dry, long lasting, zesty finish. Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky	Lovely, complex nose with a marvellous mix of malt, brown sugar, some treacle, honey and vanilla. Flow in the mouth is everything light and delicate like the thinnest silk. Might be delicate in feel but there is loads of flavour along the lines the nose advertised but the rum makes a more determined stance. Beautiful harmony. Long, flavour filled finish. Glenfiddich 40 Year Old	Amazing start to the nose with a concentration of spice, fruit cake and oak that is difficult to comprehend ! Backed by a twist of smoke and a wave of floral fragrance. Round and rich in the mellow mouth which is packed with flavour. Snatches of brown sugar, golden syrup, peat and superb oak all add to the complexity. Beautifully balanced and magnificent character. The Balvenie Port Wood 21 Year Old	Massive nose with full collection of berry fruits, some tropical tones and sweet malt. Rich and full in the mouth with layers of flavour which settle out and fill the palate with slow progression. A build up of spice begins with cinnamon and vanilla with some toffee and then the port seems to exert itself. Creamy smooth. The Macallan Sherry Oak 10 YO	The nose come rushing out to greet you loaded with sweet sherry notes and followed by a complexity of molasses, barley and biscuit aromatics. Rich and full in deep flavoured mouth where the Oloroso seems to rule for a while then in come all the rest of the cast. Glenmorangie Astar	The nose has decidedly bourbon notes to start then a good dollop of barley arrives along with sweet spice and vanilla. Deep, rich and full in the mouth with super silky flow across the palate. The oak remains pretty obvious in the mouth but there is enough malt, barley and spice to remind you of Scotland ! Glenfiddich Vintage Reserve 1977	Compelling nose with mix of berry fruit, chocolate, apples, dried fruit and sherry. Good show of vanilla and cinnamon before a wave of floral notes takes over. Soft and full in the mouth with velvet texture and almost slow motion delivery of the complex and intense flavours. Dark cherries, marzipan and ginger add to the complexity. Fine oak support. Glenglassaugh 40 YO Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky	Citrus and oak dominate the nose with a fine floral backing. The Dalmore 1980	The nose suggests a citrus orchard with almost every different kind of citrus tree then the malt comes surging through. Followed by fruit cake, marmalade and rich spice. Smooth and silky in the mouth with the whole of the nose involved in a totally integrated whole. 30 YO Isle of Jura Single Malt Scotch Whisky	Very complex nose opens with ripe peaches, citrus and spice with honey and almonds. Deep, flavour filled mouth with great concentration of all the nose showed plus a great wave of malt followed by more spice, liquorice and some clear, pure vanilla. Bunnahabhain 25 YO Single Malt Scotch Whisky	Described As fine silk in a glass. Honey at the start with fresh salty sea breeze. Sherry and oak do their best to enter the scene while another briny flow comes across. Marzipan and fruit cake with tasty notes and dried fruits with raisins follow in full flow. Talisker Distillers Edition 1996	Complex nose with fruit and floral mingling together and a hint of briny character. Touch of ginger bread and some vanilla. The delivery in the mouth is fairly substantial with all the flavours offered by the nose now filling the palate. Lively flow with fine texture. Cardhu 12 YO	Amazing, clean, clear focussed nose with some apple and pear and magnificent malt. Vanilla and cinnamon are there with super floral notes in the background. Deep, well rounded mouth delivers all the flavours in a complete and orderly fashion that simply is beautiful to experience. Lagavulin 16 YO	Floral, gorse and pungent peat make up the first wave on the nose. Hints of tropical fruit with pineapple and some citrus. Deep, smoky backing. Mouth starts with a soft intensity of flavours which grow and swell up washing across the palate like a breaking wave leaving behind all the flavours highlighted by seaside and pungent, deep smoky overdrive. Full and well flavoured mouth has all the nose suggested plus a touch of golden sugar, some barley sugar and vanilla. All the sweet characters are well balanced by well managed oak. Dalwhinnie 15 YO	Delightful nose laden with smoke and peat with hints of heather, honey and vanilla. Berry fruits and ripe peach linger in the background. Rich, creamy mouth where a whole set of new characters join those introduced by the nose. Angelica, cocoa, coffee intermingle with rich malt. Soft and mellow with attractive mature notes. Clynelish Distillers Edition 1992	Nose opens with delightful toasty malt which beckons and invites closer attention and then delivers a spectacular array of berry fruits, some tropical tones and mass of citrus and spice. A massive attack on the palate where all the nose had is joined by a spicy, peppery liveliness followed by a great depth of soft peat. Incredibly well judged oak is their in fine support. Royal Lochnagar Distillers Edition 1996	Incredibly complex nose with waves of aromatics beginning with nutmeg then followed by cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, honey and hints of herb. Complex and concentrated mouth where all the flavours mingle and where a full wave of malt flows strongly through. Super, velvet smooth flow and fine texture. Glenmorangie Original 10 YO Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky	Delightful nose filled with ripe fruits where pear and peach are prominent. Great floral backing with sweet vanilla edge. Balblair Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 1975	Inviting nose packed with ripe peach, raisins, fruitcake and a powerful dollop of honey. Full in the mouth where mellow oak is balanced by sweet spice and the honey. Still shows remarkable agility for it’s age with just the slightest sign of drying oak. Speyburn Single Malt Scotch Whisky 10 YO	The most inviting nose with delicate peat, ripe fruit, honey and sweet spice. All repeats in the well rounded, lively mouth. Fruit really takes over in the mouth with malt coming in after a while. Some interesting combinations of almost bitter chocolate and sweet honey add great complexity. The Glendronach 15 YO Single Malt Highland Scotch Whisky	Great concentration of complex aromas on the nose including treacle toffee, chocolate, orange, toasted nuts and vanilla. Ardmore 30 YO	Nose delivers a full blast of peat smoke then reveals a gentle floral backing and some ripe stone fruit with hint of fruit cake. Touch of toffee. Gentle through the mouth with a feather lightness yet loads of flavour. Peat seems to tame down into a gentle caress while a light smokey note appears in the long finish. Ardmore 25 YO	Magnificent peat on the nose with heather, honey and sweet tobacco. Hints of chocolate, malt and vanilla. Rich layers of ripe fruit in the mouth with smooth flow across the palate and fine, but lively texture. Lots of developing flavours in the mouth. All carry to the fairly complex palate where a fair attack reveals great layers of flavour in about perfect harmony as you can get. Hints of orange and vanilla appear towards the finish. The Glenrothes 1994 Speyside Single Malt Whisky	The nose begins with a mix of fresh fruits and dried with raisins being to the fore. Just a hint of smoke then a wave of grassy malt. Touch of coffee.
