Julian Jeffs

 

Julian was educated at Wrekin College and Downing College, Cambridge where he read Natural Sciences but spent most of my time enjoying life and drinking wine. He began working in the Williams & Humbert sherry bodegas in Spain, which gave rise to his first book. He has had four books to follow.

He was the commissioning editor of Faber and Faber’s Wine Series from its inception in 1965 until it was sold in 2001. He was Chairman 1970-72, Vice-President 1975-91 and President 1992 to 1996 of the Circle of Wine Writers, now an Honorary Life Member.
