Thomas Woolrych

 
Thomas joined Direct Wines in 1997, having been in the wine business full time since 1984. He became interested in the wine industry after picking grapes in Cognac as a student. As well as buying wine from all over the world he spent many years involved in the marketing of wine for Victoria Wine – working on the creation of point of sale, wine lists, promotions, labels and also handling new shop brands.
 
His role at Direct Wines is to help and guide the buyers in their search for new and interesting wines which his customers will become passionate about for many years to come. Direct Wines is the world’s largest direct to customer wine merchant with over 1 million regular customers worldwide, founded in 1969.
