Starting in the wines but later moved on to the stronger stuff to get a Bachelor degree in spirits: Liquorist. With more than a decade experience in the judging competitions he is well travelled and educated in several spirits, although his roots will always be Rum. In the Rum scene Rene does consultancy and educates people. His huge network is still growing and covers all continents.
Rene started to work as an importer of fine spirits in the Netherlands in 2011 and he is also European Brand Ambassador for Prichard’s and Samaroli. The earlier mentioned network is quite handy for this and made it possible to write about Rum and Whisky for several magazines and websites.
