Sally Easton MW

Sally’s business encompasses a portfolio of activities focused on wine industry consultancy, trade and consumer education, including corporate events, as well as freelance writing for trade and consumer publications at home and abroad, plus publishing directly to her own website www.winewisdom.com. She is one of few independent wine writers to have both the MW and a masters degree in journalism. She achieved her MW in 1998 and is one of just 288 people across the globe to hold this ultimate wine qualification. Her MA followed in 2007.

Her consultancy includes advising hospitality clients on sourcing, ranging and creating bespoke wine menus, and blending bespoke house wines. For corporate clients she advises on aspects of the UK industry, and access to the UK market.

For the trade, she provides bespoke training for corporate clients, as well as teaching to Diploma level for the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET), for whom she is a certified educator and a lead lecturer. For consumers and corporate clients, she delivers both fun and more considered wine tasting events, seminars, talks and dinners.

Sally is wine columnist for consumer magazines France magazine (UK) and Winestate (Australia). As well as writing frequent unique content for www.winewisdom.com, she also regularly contributes to industry publication Drinks Business, and less regularly to other trade and consumer titles.

As an experienced judge on the international circuit, Sally has judged competitions on almost every wine-producing continent. She has judged for the IWSC since 2000, and is chair judge at this competition.
