Red berried fruit opens the big nose followed by marmalade, treacle, old toffee and caramel. Some crème brûlée and butterscotch round off the sweet characters. Rich, full mouth with all that was promised with addition of ripe apricot, brown sugar and golden syrup. Just the faintest hint of smoke leads into the fine, mellow finish. |
