Matt is an experienced whisky writer and educator. He co-founded the popular and award-winning whisky website Whisky For Everyone in 2008 and this has led to a successful career in the whisky industry. This includes working in specialist whisky retail, brand ambassador work with a major Scotch producer, consultation on new product development (including the launch of a new Scotch whisky independent bottler) and writing regular columns for several publications. He still writes Whisky For Everyone, which celebrated its 18th birthday in March 2026, and also runs the North London Whisky Club where he hosts monthly tasting events. In April 2015, Matt was inducted as a Keeper of the Quaich for his services to Scotch whisky.
