Dan Orton is the wine buyer for The 10 Cases in Covent Garden, where he curates a list of over 750 wines spanning global producers.

Dan's career in hospitality and wine began in his native Staffordshire before he joined the wine team at two-Michelin-star restaurant The Ledbury in Notting Hill in 2017. Rising to Senior Sommelier, he then stepped away from the restaurant floor to pursue a Degree in Viticulture & Oenology at Plumpton College in East Sussex - gaining hands-on vineyard experience and building relationships with some of England's most respected winemakers.

Returning to London in 2021, Dan joined JKS Restaurant Group as Head Sommelier for the opening of The George, where he launched an ambitious list of over 130 English wines.

Now two years into his role at The 10 Cases, Dan has shaped a list that delivers exceptional value and balances classics with exciting emerging producers. When he's not on the floor or travelling to visit winemakers, you'll find him cycling out of London and into the hills.
