Maggie MacPherson’s foray into wine started during her third year at Edinburgh University. She joined the University Wine Society and signed up for the Pol Roger Varsity Blind Tasting team, where she received the top taster prize in her first competition. Her curiosity piqued, she chose to focus her dissertation on the Country of Origin effect on the consumer decision making process.

Following on from 8 years at Enotria&Coe, where she started out as an assistant buyer and spent the last 5 years as New World Buyer, she recently joined premium distributor and retailer Jeroboams as Group Buyer covering the full portfolio for all 8 stores and the wholesale team.

Maggie has the WSET diploma.  She has also completed an introduction to winemaking course and a wine vintage in Australia to further develop her technical knowledge of wine.
