Once a City corporate financier and economist, Zara converted into wine geek in 2013 when she took sabbatical to travel in Latin America. While she always appreciated and collected wine jewels, her first proper professional dive into the wine world happened in Argentina. Having spent considerable time in learning from Argentinean winemakers she returned to London where her journey as a wine professional started first with Argentinean wines but then quite quickly switched to working with wines from lesser-known countries such as Armenia, Georgia, Greece, Ukraine, etc.

Zara is the founder of GInVino – Best Wines Off the Beaten Path and WINE ORIGINS. GInVino is a specialist independent wine and spirits merchant offering exceptional Off Beaten Path Wines to UK ultra-high end hospitality sector, private members clubs, Michelin star restaurants, etc. WINE ORIGINS is a unique platform for rare authentic wines from ancient wine countries as well as most exciting emerging wine regions, exploring age old winemaking traditions: amphora and skin contact wines, indigenous grapes, natural wines.

Zara has completed her studies of WSET Diploma and is a judge in numerous competitions including World’s Best Vineyards and IWSC.
