After completing a degree in literature in 2008, Joe went into hospitality, working as a somm and restaurant manager at restaurants including Quaglino's, Villandry and Trinity. Moving to the off-trade, he worked for four years with Jeroboams and Amathus before joining Tesco as a buyer. Areas he buys for have included Chile, Emerging Regions, Germany, small formats, fruit wine and low & no wine.
