Vinisud, the international showcase for the world’s most exciting wine region, returns this month. The trade show, which will be held February 18-20 at Montpellier Exhibition Centre, will see over 30,000 visitors discover the wines of almost 1,500 exhibitors, with all Mediterranean countries represented.

Vinisud aims to bring together Mediterranean wine producers and trade buyers, and ranks among the world’s top five trade events for buyers. With Mediterranean wines accounting for 29% of global production, the show is the benchmark Mediterranean wine event for discovering new finds and emerging consumer trends.

This year’s event will focus on three key issues: effective marketing, unearthing new gems and exploring the latest consumer trends. Visitors will be able to explore six ‘zones’ promoting innovation and identity, including areas dedicated to sparkling wines, rare and unusual grape varieties, and a showcase of new winegrowers and up-and-coming market players.

Along with free-pour tasting formats giving visitors the opportunity to discover the gems of Mediterranean wine, other sections of Vinisud will highlight wine tourism, digital technologies, and the growing trend of responsible drinking.

For the first time ever, Vinisud 2018 will mark the fourth and final event in a series connecting both French and international wine players, following Vinovision, Forum International d’Affaires, and the World Wine Meetings, all of which are taking place in France earlier in the week.

Alongside Vinisud, the World Wine Meetings (WWM Global) is an exclusive wine and spirits convention that provides producers with the opportunity to develop and increase wine exports worldwide by meeting with 150 buyers from more than 30 countries.

From 14-17 February 2018, registered producers will be provided with personalised schedules of carefully matched one-on-one meetings with selected international wine buyers, enabling them to find the perfect importer or distributor for their wines.

Alongside the private meetings, WWM Global also runs lunches, a gala dinner and a mini fair, giving producers the chance to show off their wines to importers in a friendly atmosphere. Exhibitors can also opt to run masterclasses where they can promote their region with the undivided attention of influential international buyers.
